At 9:45 this morning, two Sherriff's Deputies arrived at church and hauled him away in a Sheriff’s van. However, it’s not for “real”, it’s for a good cause – it’s all part of a fundraiser for muscular dystrophy.
They took him to a near-by hotel where he is now supposed to make phone calls to “post bail” so he can get out. The money goes toward a variety of things in support of muscular dystrophy.
While the girls understood what was going on and had fun watching them hand-cuff Daddy, pose for pictures, and other silly things, Micah broke down in distraught sobs. Meanwhile, even though it was all in good fun for a good cause, my stomach felt queasy. Even as a joke it’s not fun seeing your loved one get handcuffed or put in a paddy wagon.
So I am using Facebook and Twitter today as a means to encourage people we know to support this cause and help my husband get back home. At least for poor Micah’s sake…
