A Gettysburg Getaway: Our 3 Day Trip To Visit Civil War Memorials

Gettysburg is becoming our little getaway place. 

Justin has taught me how to enjoy history, especially civil war history, and Gettysburg is one of the best places to go to enjoy learning more about that time period.

For the second year in a row we got away for 3 days – sans kids – to celebrate our anniversary.

This is one of the very yummy breakfasts we enjoyed at the Dobbin House Bed & Breakfast where we stayed.  It was served in one of the original buildings in a very “old” setting.  A really neat experience.  I also got hot chocolate served in an old style tavern cup.  (Or whatever you call those things!)

And of course, what is a trip to Gettysburg without a visit to the Boyd’s Bear Barn?!
