The other week I came across a great idea for organizing verses or things that you want to memorize. I realized I had all the supplies on hand and so I put it all together! Here is a peek...
Rather than taking the time to spell out all the details myself, I will just send you right on over to Kimberly at Raising Olives for all the nitty gritty details. Besides, I have a bed to make, clothes to fold, and a toddler having a complete meltdown. Why make more work for myself?! I'm just thankful I tackled this and completed it! Go chat with Kimberly and enjoy a new organizational tool! Anyone have good tackle ideas for breaking the pacifier habit?!!!!!!
I need them NOW!!!!!!!! (That, and ideas to break thumb sucking, too!)

What a great idea .. I bet it will be nice having it all in one place!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I feel for you in the temper tantrums. My little boys are 2 and 3. We have multiple daily meltdowns! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mandy,
ReplyDeleteYour box looks great.
Blessing,
Kimberly
I saw your link over at 5M4M's Tackle it Tuesday. When I saw the name of your blog, I HAD to come over and say hi. What a terrific blog name...one of the best I have seen!! Hope the toddler meltdown has passed and you've been able to get your folding done! (As a mom of a 5 and 3 year old, I know how hard that can be!!)
ReplyDeletethat looks awesome, going to go over and see what that box is all about. Wish I could give you some good advice on the pacifier but honestly I just took it away from mine and after 2 nights of crying, it was a done deal.
ReplyDeleteBreaking the Binky Habit- I have a few ideas. Some people like to play to the sentimental side of children. "Let's give your binkies to new babies who need them because you're a big boy/girl now!"
ReplyDeleteOthers like to try to purchase something with the binkies, like a shiny tricycle or new toy!
What worked for me was Build-A-Bear. I seriously doubted it would work. For two weeks I built up the excitement. "Do you want to give away all your binkies and make a new teddy bear to keep?" Got lots of enthusiasm!
Finally the day arrived. We went to BAB and she got to pick out a bear (a pink one!). She took one binky that she got to stuff in the bear as well. From that moment on she never looked back. I was SO proud. I was terrified that night she'd start crying for her binky but she just held that bear and went to sleep.
She had a BAD habit. She had one in her mouth and one in each hand that she liked to rub on her cheeks. And after two nights of cuddling with Binky Bear (as we dubbed it) she forgot all about the bear and her binks. I think I was more emotional about it. I found all the binkies I could find around the house and stashed them in a keepsake box for her.
Looks good--I thought your friend at Raising Olives was great btw!
